Nadolig Llawen - Happy Christmas

Posted by Ray Cousins on

Knowing that Christmas is just around the corner is exciting! Haven’t we all missed Joy to the World, Silent Night, White Christmas and of course The Twelve Days of Christmas ... those wonderfully festive carols that help thaw out our winterized vocals are more welcome this year than ever!
And yes, 2020 has been a year of challenges throughout the world, but even our burdensome Covidian yokes will be made lighter by the good cheer, meals, laughter and gifts lovingly exchanged by friends and family throughout many lands.

Wendy and l both fondly remember our childhood Christmas mornings growing up in South Africa and U.K respectively. After a morning of ravaging the pillow cases that had magically been delivered down the chimney by Father Christmas, and exploring their contents, the long anticipated Christmas table was laid ... usually roast chicken or goose with ‘stuffing’, followed later by Christmas Pudding
Christmas pudding with white sauce, and sixpences ‘hidden’ inside. We always ate more pudding than we wanted just to see how many sixpences we could find!!
As we prepare excitedly to celebrate our Savior's birth and for a visit from our family, our Christmas Cake has been baked (using Mom's recipe), Christmas Crackers purchased and other special goodies prepared in anticipation.
We wish you and your family Happy Christmas greetings and look forward with anticipation to 2021.
